Default Battery left out all winter

Quick question, car coming out in a couple weeks. I left my battery out all winter with nothing feeding it. Last year I did the same, the car needed a boost and over time never worked its way back up to full charge. Should it be OK being only 1 year old battery this time? Is there any free service at partsource for charging a battery or something like that?

where did you store it? Either way I'd throw it on a trickle charger for a day or so before you try to use it.
I disconnected the Datsun's battery over the winter (Optima) and put it on the trickle before I moved it in January and it started up ok. Didn't drive it from Jan till this week and it didn't die in a non-heated garage.

IIRC it's like 15$ to have PS or somewhere charge it... or you could buy your own trickle charger for about that haha...

It SHOULD be ok, but you never know. Batteries don't like going from hot to cold, which would happen more then you think when the sun is beating on it all day then freeze over night.

I would imagine Princess or Part Source has one or will soon on sale. they shouldn't cost THAT much.

A couple of months ago we pulled a battery on a buddies car that was dead and took it to Canadian tire and they charged it up for free. Maybe try that?

Canadian Tire or Part Source will charge it for free.. just get it tested. If it's low on juice, the tester will automatically start charging it. It will then test the battery again and let you know if it's a gonner.

I used to do this all the time for people when I worked at crappy tire.
